    HI Ryan,

Yes, I do hold classes. But my school is not open to the General Public.
I run a private dojo/study group here in Del Mar/ Solana Beach.

Let me know more about you, your background and what you are looking
for and we can discuss further training opportunities for you.

    Sincerely,

    David

PS: I also hold pressure point, Dim Mak and Kyusho Jutsu Seminars Through Meetup.com although we are now officially on hiatus for the holidays. We also have a Kali-escrima-arnis meetup if you are into those as well. The meetups are open to the public and are free, we cover some great stuff but no where near the depth and breadth of what goes on in the private groups.

    Shihan Snyder.

I may be mistaken, but I believe I once trained under you in Coral Springs Florida, many years ago.
I was about 14 back then, me and my older brother Jonathan learned from you.

I’m living abroad in Peru. I was wondering (if it really was you (I’m a bit hazy on the name, since I just called you “Shihan” back then)), If you have any recommendations for someone in my situation. I was too young to partake in anything more than rudimentary knowledge of the techniques, and even less, of the philosophy and energy control.

I am an aspiring student of the abbot of the Canadian temple of Buddhism, She recommended that I return with my new mindset to the martial arts. Ofcourse I thought of how I hadn’t really seen how much depth of knowledge there is in your instruction due to my immaturity. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction and I can learn something in the mean time until I may once again train under you, if you will accept.

Thank you for your time Shihan Snyder.

    HI Christopher,

Yes Indeed, You did study with me in Coral Springs. The martial arts have always been a powerful vehicle for personal transformation, once you get past the whole “needing to beat others” you quickly discover that the greatest battles a true warrior of any kind fights are the ones “inside” of him or herself.

    Great Hearing from you.

Let me know how you are doing.

    Namaste

    “Shihan” ;-)

Hi David. I’m interested in learning Dim Mak. I used to study various martial arts when I was a kid/teenager, but nothing too serious. At this point, I basically want to know that I can protect my family in case anything happens. With so many people learning MMA now, I want to have an upper edge; I want to be able to protect my family and get out of a situation as quickly as possible. I live in Rancho Penasquitos and it seems like there aren’t very many resources around in order to learn Dim Mak besides books and videos.

Hello I currently got interested in Kyusho Kempo and I was wondering if it is possible to learn this at home because due to the economy my parents don’t have enough money to send me to classes. If you can give me any good websites that give good video lessons or post about stances that are free it will be really great. :)

    Dear David,

Sorry its been awhile been busy with school and work. I been practicing Ryukyu kempo for around 3 and half years now. I’ve been practicing under Master Cliff Bolton of Atlanta Ryukyu kempo. He is a member of the Dillman organization. My girlfriend wants to move out to San Diego but I don’t want to give up Ryukyu Kempo. This is why I was wondering if you had classes because If I decide to move out there I would like to continue training in Ryukyu kempo. Thank you for your time.

It’s a pity that Mr. Dillman fails to credit the Okinawan Master who taught him the physiologies of Kyusho.

    Hey Historian,
I am curious as to which which of the several Okinawan Masters GM Dillman has studied with are you referring to? If you Mean Hohan Soken or Seiyu Oyata GM Dillman Talks about them quite often.

    HI Jake,

No, there is no experience necessary to participate in any of our events. We hold free meetups once per month that serve as an introduction to kyusho and once we get to know you we will invite you to become part of my private study group.

that includes 4 group classes per month and 1 private lesson. Its a great way to get personal attention and hands on in group.

Shoot me an email at david@kyushokempo.com if you are interested. you can also find us at meetup.com just type in pressure point self defense and our Hidden Pressure Point Secrets of Karate Kung Fu, Aikido and Jujitsu Meetup Should pop up.

You can also check out http://www.sandiegoblackbelt.com

    Talk to you soon.

    HI Ryan,

I hold seventh dan under master dillman. My approach to kyusho and tuite is very unique and although the pressure points are the common denominator between orthodox DKI style ryukyu kempo. Our training methods are light years beyond the “traditional ways of Training Pressure Points” as are many of the concepts we have discovered that completely turbo charge the effects we get with the points

if and when you decide to come out I am sure you will find more than enough similiarities with what we do to what you are presently doing and also become truly excited at how quickly your skills will dramatically grow when you start applying some of the cutting edge mental, energetic and physics based training tools and principles that were “hidden” in plain site all along.

Its a pretty cool place to be.

    Keep In Touch.

    Sincerely,

    David Snyder

Most good kyusho training is anything but free. You might try kyusho.com and http://www.kyushospace.com its a sort of myspace for kyusho practitioners. You may be able to find someone in your area that is qualified to teach and looking to practice.

You should really seek out a qualified instructor, even if it means getting a part time job in order to afford the tuition. Kyusho is NOT something that should be learned from a book or video. EVER. Books and videos are fantastic supplements to solid qualified kyusho training but there are far too many variables and things that could go wrong for you to risk your safety or that of your partner by practicing techniques you can’t modulate or in some cases resusitate.

Not trying to scare you but something just HAVE to be said.

    Sincerely,
    David Snyder
